Hang on Hangers

Hang On’s mission is to give the women and the people with special needs living in the Bangkok’s slum an opportunity to work in a safe environment. To help them grow their confidence and give hope for a better tomorrow.
With the help of family and friends, I have been able to raise funds and complete various projects, like building a new house for one of the mothers, renovate a bathroom, send one of the girls to university and also helping with dental care and necessary healthcare products, such as contraceptives.
After running projects like these for many years, I felt the need to find a solution that in the long run would give them a chance to be self-sufficient.
“I wanted to find a product that these women could make, something that was good enough to be sold without bringing charity into the aspect. I wanted something that was unique and at the same time beautiful and practical.” “It was also extremely important that we found a product that was sustainable financially in order for us to pay all the women following the Fair Trade principle”. That is how the idea of Hang On Hangers was born.
